Last saturday some friends and me drove to Hannover to party at Der Rote Salon which celebrated it’s 12th anniversary. Special guest for this night was AN21 who has been at Der Rote Salon on the 30h of January and where I’ve also been to.

We arrived in Hannover at about 23.30 and first met up with some friends near the location before we hit the spot.

Because it’s the first time I’m writing about the event I will tell you some facts about the location. It’s based near the Landtag of Lower Saxony and only a few minutes away from the heart of the city. The location has three different rooms, a nice lounge where some deephouse was played, a clubroom, and the mainroom with a nice LED wall behind the dj booth where AN21 was playing at. In addition to this the location also has go a nice terrace which is next to the river Leine.

In the club we had some drinks – me as always non-alcoholic drinks – and listened to the warm-up in the mainroom by Filtertypen, a dj duo from Hannover, who did a good job.

At about 1.30 when the room was actually quite packed AN21 started his set. He played tracks like the “Teenage Crime” remode by Axwell and Henrik B, his and Max Vangeli’s bootleg of “Smack my bitch up”and of course “One” without the vocals of Pharrel – thanks for that, I really don’t like the vocals. My personal highlight actually was when he played the new track of his brother Steve Angello called “Knas” which will be out on the 28th of July. The crowd went really crazy and now I’m really sure that this track will be a huge record.

He couldn’t play so much of his own stuff because some stupid person stealed a cd out of his wallet including his productions but he played the new remix of him with Max Vangeli of the Gorillaz track “On Melancholy hill“. I tried to record it but the sound isn’t that good…sorry

I already mentioned that new remix here and said that it’s not that clubby. It surely is not a normal club track but it went pretty well when AN21 played it!

Some other tracks he played were “Conscindo” by Mark Knight and Wolfgang Gartner, the “Swedish Diamond” bootleg or “Tweet it” by Norman Doray and Avicii which is so awesome and I really can’t wait till the release date at the 28th August on SIZE.

At about 4am his set was done and I have to say that it was really worth it to drive to Hannover and see him again.

This time me or a friend didn’t take some pictures but I did one with AN21 :)

So all in all it was a great gig of AN21, a nice party and I will definitly visit some other parties in Hannover during the next weeks. Thanks der Rote Salon and thanks AN21.
